On Moto Control channel you will find videos about motorcycles, motorcycle riding techniques, tips & tricks and online motorcycle training for beginner and advanced riders!
A little info about me. My name is Andrei Bodrov, originally I'm from Moscow, Russia, and now I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Back in Moscow I was a motorcycle instructor and creator of Moto Control Beginner & Advanced motorcycle rider courses, which quickly became the most popular courses in Moscow (well, at least the advanced one😁). My advanced training course makes emphasis on slow speed riding techniques at first (such as good clutch and throttle control, proper riding posture, proper use of vision, etc.), then proceeds to more advanced techniques (such as aggressive braking, trail braking, maximal lean angle). The course incorporates a lot of exercises from DOSAF slow speed riding (similar to police rodeo like motorcycle training in USA), braking and cornering exercises and motogymkhana style riding. And now, since I actively learn English - I decided to post some useful videos for both your and mine practice!😉
🏍️🏍️🏍️
Since everyone writes this, it's necessary, I suppose 🤷, so here we go. Disclaimer: Ride at your own risk, you are responsible for your own safety. Me, Andrey Bodrov and my channel, Moto Control disclaim any liability incurred in connection with the use of riding techniques from this channel. Use common sense, wear full protective gear and ride in a safe and predictable manner!

I realized on multiple bikes my comfort riding position is my legs further tucked back, pegs near my toes. Thought maybe I'm odd since many people like to put highway pegs way out front. Do I feel more in control. I think maybe slightly if I think about it.

With all due respect, I think you are missing motojitsu's point. But you are wrong in one aspect. Ok so to begin with, his audience is vast, and not everyone has super control of thier bikes, not even their balance. You see, there are people like clowns or acrobats who have a perfect or near perfect balance, even on a wire but some people can barely manage to stay upright on the street. So he has to adjust his message to fit most of the crowd. This is universal and has nothing to do with motorcycle. Every good teacher, or orator will tell you the same. YOU, have a near perfect balance; its obvious by the way you are able to keep your bike even when standing almost still. Most people can't. Balance and stability comes with some degree of mouvements (for 99% of people). You need to stop thinking only with your personnal perspective a little bit my friend. Also, you mentionned that when he does it, he's jiggling his handle bars. Yes, you are right. Almost EVERYONE would do the same at this ridiculously slow speed. And it perfectly demonstrate that he is right again about the fact that stability come with movement. It is also obvious for everyone (but you apperently) that the more you lean, the shorter the radius of the circle. Forget about ones ability to keep balance and do this test on foot. Take your bike, leave it straight up, turn the handles as much as you can and make a full turn. Notice your radius. Now do the same but lean it as much as you can (without dropping it 😉). Compare the radius now. You see? You probably didn't have to do it for real because you know perfectly what happens if you ever had to move a bike inside a garage without the engine. So jitsu was spot on while your experiment is flawed. Well your analysis was. The experiment on the other hand showed that again, jitsu was right. It took only a few degrees of angle and you already had a noticeable difference in radius. And physics being physics, its not a constant. The more you lean the bike, the difference in radius is exponential (cuz of the angle of attack between the front wheel and the ground and all)... And when I say jitsu i mean everyone who were thaugh the same (correctly). Then you are looking for problems that are not there. Like you are arguing about the 8-15 mph... He said : "...generally around...". And by the way he is absolutely correct. This is around the speed where physics dynamics meets individual mastery of the motorcycle. For some, 8mph will already be very fast while for others, you're just begining to enter the "agility zone". As opposed as what YOU tell people he said (which he never did), these are all approximation. He never said it was fixed or anyhting stupid like that. YOU came out with this explanation and make it look like he said it. Now maybe you know it, maybe not but the the sake of the other readers here, i'll explain a little bit. This speed, where physics begins to change a little bit is AROUND 8 mph because most bike are using around the same configuration of wheels diameter, weight, weight distribution, rake angle and so on... All of these elements influences at which speed the "slow speed" ends and begin moprhing into normal speed. That's why jitsu said around, and GENERALLY between this and this. And again he was right. And yes those who are saying otherwise deserve a facepalm IMO. If someone wants to lure people into believeing either something fales or at the very least that would work only for them because they have something different, all the while acting as some know-it-all, they deserve a facepalm. I never teach my "students" something that applies only to me or to a few that have some above average abilities. Certainly not if their life or health would be jeopardized. And I don't know in which part of the galaxy you live in, but i've NEVER seen ANY motorcycle cops course where they teach their riders to NOT lean their bikes and that's for a good reason. Look at any skills championships between riders and you'll see that despite riding big heavy bikes, they are almost always scraping their bikes here and there, with much more speed than we would have used, in places we think it will never pass. So I think its safe to say that these guys know better than us. Have a nice day man.

The KTM 390 is easier to balance bike than the humongous GS. Additionally, you have really good balance, clutch and rear brake skills. You could ride almost any bike at ridiculous 1 mph speeds. I think what motojitsu means is that most are not that proficient, and that for them, a tighter turning radius benefits from speed & lean to achieve a full lock, without being an Acrobatic with a capital A.

There are two different things being illustrated in the clips, there. 'Wobble' is a low speed behaviour of the front castor, it is only the wheel flapping back and forward on account of the rake angle and the damping in the front steering. 'Weave', which is these days called 'high speed wobble' is what is dangerous, at high speeds, where the front and rear wheels step in opposite directions and the rear steers one way while the front steers the other, and they fight each other. To stop it, move your CoG forward and down (tuck in). Be wary if you sit up at high speeds because it can induce weave for the reverse reason. Weave is a result of the front forks oscillating in compression. Stiffer springs and stiffer headstock reduces weave. It is not actually a wobble because the rear is wobbling equally and oppositely to the front, hence weave.

Throttle death grip also gives you too much steering input which causes death wobbles to blow up into a high side instead of self-correcting.
